The Kautz-Uible Economics Institute is proud to welcome UC alumnus Nawal Roy to present this year's James C. Kautz Lecture. In his compelling talk, Nawal shares his entrepreneurial journey – from a UC student to a visionary leader – driven by a deep passion to bring innovation to mental health care.
This journey ultimately led him to found Holmusk, a company created to address the critical unmet needs in behavioral health, with the mission of building the world's largest real-world evidence (RWE) platform in the field.

Under Nawal's leadership, Holmusk was named one of TIME's Top HealthTech Companies of 2025 as well as a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer in 2019. To push the frontiers of mental health research, he has formed strategic collaborations with leading global institutions such as Duke University and Oxford University.
