Kautz-Cryptoeconomics Lab Advisory Board
The Kautz-Uible Cryptoeconomics Lab Advisory Board brings together corporate and community partners to provide insight into blockchain technology trends. Representing a wide range of industries and cross-disciplinary expertise, board members provide guidance to researchers, staff, and students of the lab.
David is a Litigation Associate at Taft Stettinius & Hollister who focuses on complex commercial and white-collar matters. He earned his JD from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was also an articles editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review.
While in law school, David worked for the United States Attorneys' Offices for the Southern District of Ohio, the Department of Justice-Tax Division in Washington, D.C., and the Honorable Michael R. Barrett on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Post-graduation, he also clerked for the Honorable Matthew W. McFarland on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Adam is the owner of both Reversed Out—a digital agency that provides professional creative and technical resources for businesses that lack the skills in-house—and CovWorx, a creative coworking space that supports the Cincinnati metropolitan startup community.
Adam was also a co-founder of DotLoop, a digital documents company that was sold to Zillow in 2015 for $108 million. He has held a range of design roles throughout his career and is an active volunteer who serves on the board of the Cincinnati Blockchain Implementations Conference, among others. He earned a BS in Marketing from Capella University as well as a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from Cornell University.
Gary co-leads InfraGard's National Cross-Sector Council Program (NCSCP) as chair of the Blockchain Cross-Sector Council, whose mission is "to expand the blockchain collective knowledge pool among sector members by building a cross-section organization that will promote dialogue, encourage the development of potential blockchain solutions for critical infrastructures, and share knowledge from one sector to another."
Gary is currently a Sales Manager at SLG Transport, an independent Landstar agency that specializes in freight shipping solutions. He earned a BS in Management and Finance from Indiana University.
Laith is the co-founder and CTO of CoreTech Mining, an artificial intelligence, data mining, and blockchain validation consulting company.
A UC alumnus, Laith earned a BS in Business Administration and Business Economics from the Lindner College of Business as well an MS in Quantitative Management from NYU's Stern School of Business.
Adam Swick is the VP of Strategy at Marathon Digital Holdings (NASDAQ:MARA), a digital asset technology company that mines cryptocurrencies with a focus on the blockchain ecosystem and the generation of digital assets.
Adam is also an Investor at 4Degrees, a customer relationship management platform built for deal-driven industries, like venture capital, private equity, M&A, investment banking, and CRE. He earned an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a BS in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
